Surgery Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Scheduling Surgical operations with excellence and care
• Provide a high level of service to patients
• Answer phone calls, take messages, and route calls to the appropriately
• Aid with medical administrative tasks including insurance verification and billing
• Obtain pre-operative clearance and medical records
• Provide patients with directions before and after surgery

Qualifications/ Education/ Critical Skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare position preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
• Patient-focused with the ability to work independently
• Capability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands/ Environmental Factors

• Regularly required to stand or sit
• Use hands
• Talk or hear
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and depth perception
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 lbs
