Surgery Scheduler

About the role

The Surgery Scheduler serves as the primary contact for the physician and patients to coordinate and schedule their surgeries, follow-up appointments, and any other required appointments as determined by the physicians.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules surgeries, all pre- and post-surgical appointments, and any other requirements as requested by the physicians.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and team members.
• Obtains surgical insurance authorizations and documents in chart prior to surgery.
• Completes all surgical documents for workers compensation and disability.
• Routes all paperwork as needed to meet physician, TOSC, and hospital requirements.
• Maintains strictest patient confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA regulations and completes required staff training.

Requirements

• Excellent customer/patient service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
• Medical office experience strongly preferred.

Pay

Wage range: $18.02 to $29.58 per hour.
