Surg Tech - Main OR, Evenings

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Performs technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
• Affords additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary.
• Serves as a resource.
• Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.
• Minimum Experience Required: Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required.
• In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.
• Minimum Licensure/Certification Required: By Law, Current GA LPN License if applicable.
• Additional Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as an LPN required. BLS certification required.
