Surg Tech - Main OR, PRN, Days

Responsibilities

• Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
• Affords additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary.
• Serves as a resource.
• Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required.
• 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification Required, or
• In lieu of degree, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required.
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required.
