Surface Mount Technology(SMT) tECHNICIAN

About the role

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a Surface Mount Assembly Technician to join our team that runs SMT equipment producing a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of SMT machines such as: Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand soldering.
• Understanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA’s and how they are processed on a SMT line.
• Experience working under a microscope.
• Works independently under limited supervision.
• Works in team environment and interacts with different functions, project teams and production teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and less than 1 year of experience.
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.
• Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.
• Must be a resident of the Northern Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area.
