SUPV - RECREATION THERAPY

Responsibilities

The Recreation Therapist Supervisor is responsible for developing, planning and managing all recreational activities that aid in improving the physical, cognitive, emotional and social functioning of patients ranging from adolescents through geriatric. Activities will involve working closely with patients and treatment team professionals in providing individual and group-based interventions to address therapeutic treatment goals for patients.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of related experience in providing recreational programming in mental health preferred.
• Licensure in specialty, which can include current CTRS, art therapy or music therapy license.
• Maintain a valid Nevada driver's license.
• BLS and Handle with Care certifications required to be maintained for full length of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• Licensure in specialty, which can include current CTRS, art therapy or music therapy license.

Schedule

This position is a full-time position 40 hours per week, however, from time to time as needed, be available to work anytime including Saturday and Sunday.
