SUPV RECREATION & FITNESS

Position Summary

To assist Manager Recreation & Fitness-Kidfit in monitoring the operations and programming of the Kidfit Department. Provides excellent internal and external customer service while focusing on the safety and well being of all children. Supervises staff and programming for the Nursery and Kidfit staff. Creates, markets, and implements a variety of youth development programs and events. Provides information on all programs monthly for our members. Coordinates program instructors and the operations of all children’s programming. Assists department leadership in the hiring and training processes. Rotates as manager on duty. Meets weekly with the Manager R&F-Kidfit. Meets monthly with program instructors. Meets monthly with Nursery and Kidfit staff. Monitors scheduling of staff to ensure ratios and supervision of children at all times. Fills in as necessary to ensure staffing needs are met. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a Bachelor’s degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months’ experience in a structured child care environment.
