Job Summary
As a Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee nursing staff and unit-based personnel in our clinic. You will create a safe, caring environment for patients, families, and staff, foster professional nursing practices, shared decision-making, and teamwork for positive outcomes. You will assist the Nursing Manager with daily operations, policies, budgets, and quality improvement efforts. You will develop educational programs for organizational goals.
Essential Functions of the Role
Create a positive work environment that promotes evidence-backed practice and research. Oversee your team to deliver safe, efficient care meeting each patient's specific needs. Ensure staff stay updated and trained for patient population needs. Evaluate nursing practices for quality and efficiency, improving performance, incorporating best practices and research for continuous improvement. Coordinate patient care conferences and meetings, focusing on patient and family needs. Implement compassionate care practices effectively. Advocate for nurses, patients, and families, discussing concerns and resolving ethical issues that come up.
