Job Summary
The Supervisor position is responsible for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support for two or more Care Connect applications. They must possess in-depth knowledge of software functionality and quickly gain knowledge of operational workflows. They collaborate with the Care Connect leadership team and operational leaders to bring up new applications and stabilize/excite existing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Manager of Clinical Applications.
- Provides direct supervisory oversight for two or more application teams and is responsible for attaining defined project outcomes.
- Leads major projects and/or initiatives through to successful completion with little to no oversight.
- Leads cross-application teams.
- Works cooperatively and effectively with operational leadership to develop and test future-state workflows.
- Effective communication regarding build changes and project plans to end users and all levels of leadership.
- Obtains and maintains Epic certification in assigned application module.
- Designs and implements future-state operational workflows by interacting with operational department representatives to analyze needs and translate these into system design.
- Populates master tables and system files in accordance with established guidelines; follows standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications.
- Tests in a structured manner and documents testing results.
- Follows established guidelines for system change control.
- Tracks, updates, and resolves issues.
- Collaborates with Principal Trainers in the design and development of role-based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented.
- Trains end-users on proper use of the application.
- Maintains system documentation to enable ongoing support of the system.
- Implements approved changes based on customer-designated priorities.
- Troubleshoots problems identified by team members and end-users.
- Reviews and tests new builds and releases prior to implementing in the production environment.
- Identifies potential system enhancement needs.
- Provides demonstrations of system functionality as necessary.
- Application Testing:
- Identifies testing requirements for assigned application module.
- Adjusts Testing Toolkit test scripts and scenarios to adequately test expected functionality.
- Collaborates with Testing Coordinator, peer Application Testing Coordinators, and Workgroup Coordinator to plan testing activities.
- Updates the Testing Tracker documentation to reflect testing results.
- Identifies, documents, and tracks testing-related issues through completion.
- Reports results of testing to Project Manager and Testing Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications
- Has successfully led at least two major initiatives through to successful completion as a Care Connect Analyst.
- Consistently exceeded expectations as a Care Connect Analyst.
- Functional area expertise as determined by leader.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Understanding/knowledge of clinical/peripheral healthcare functions and work processes.
- Understanding of technology related to functional processes/workflow.
