Responsibilities
- Typically responsible for site construction activities on multiple small or one medium project totaling 50,000-100,000+ site work hours, or a defined scope of work on a larger project site.
- Able to make regular site visits and spend significant time on project sites.
- Accountable for site logistics, including tools and equipment, contract materials, workforce scheduling to execute site construction activities.
- Initial Focus will be the one-site implementation of and adherence to all Company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security workplace programs and standards.
- Establish a detailed construction plan and schedule to provide for the efficient utilization of all labor, construction supplies, and equipment.
- Responsible to meet construction schedules and completion dates.
- Knowledge of and assuring the safe operation of all construction equipment and tooling.
- Expert knowledge of hoisting & lifting equipment and associated activities; development and adherence to all hoisting & lift plans.
- Responsible for site welding production efficiencies and quality.
- Ensure that all CB&I field supervision and site subcontractors understand their scope of work.
- Direct the various construction trades and define their respective scopes of work.
- Manage Labor Relations per local requirements.
- Responsible for management of site employees to comply with all labor standards and the proper treatment of employees per Company policies.
- Manage time taking function to assure timely submittal and processing of employee payrolls.
- Work directly with the site Field Supervisor to manage construction personnel and address employee relations issues.
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure all consumer/client site requirements are met.
- Work to a schedule and ensure project milestones are met.
- Prepare for and participate in project review meetings as requested.
- Establishes medium and long term career and personal development goals.
- Utilizes communication skills appropriate to the environment, resulting in effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Typically 3+ years since first degree or 2-5 years of relevant construction supervision experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent general construction experience and knowledge.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (OSHA, API, ASME, AWWA, NCCCR, etc. - certifications preferred).
- Knowledge of relevant welding codes, standards, processes, and equipment (certifications preferred).
- Associated construction certifications preferred (Health, Safety & Environmental practices, inspection and operation of construction equipment, hoisting & lifting equipment, rigging, etc.).
