About the role

Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking a highly motivated and dependable intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) needs assessor in the Montpelier, Barre, Berlin region in Vermont. The role involves conducting Supports Intensity Scale – Adult Version™ (SIS-A) 2nd edition assessments (and Vermont Supplemental Questions) with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Clearly communicate purpose and reason for assessment to individual and other respondents.
  • Foster positive and professional relationships and act as liaison with internal and external customers to ensure effective working relationships and team building to facilitate the completion and review of assessments.
  • Conduct assessments timely and in a professional manner.
  • Consistency in completing and documenting assessment information.
  • Represent PCG and the client in a professional manner.

Required Skills

  • Knowledgeable of Person-Centered Practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and/or other online data entry.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and execute defined goals and objectives to ensure compliance with performance measures.
  • Exceptional strength in strategic thinking, analysis, problem solving, organizational leadership and collaboration.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills.
  • Caregiver-oriented and compassionate.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Sociology.
  • At least one year’s experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Experience conducting individual assessments with knowledge of behavior rating or psychological testing principles.
  • Knowledge and experience with person-centeredness.
  • Prior experience conducting the Supports Intensity Scale assessment is preferred.
  • Experience with Home and Community Based Services waivers preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, behavioral support, and Virginia waiver programs strongly desired.
  • Strong clinical/social assessment and critical thinking skills required.

Other Requirements

  • Must have broadband internet connection at home (no dial-up) to conduct virtual assessments.
  • Willingness to travel and have an active, unrestricted license, reliable transportation and active auto insurance.
  • Committed to a dedicated home workspace committed to confidentiality of PHI.
  • Comfortable and familiar with technology including the use of virtual meeting technology (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).

Working Conditions

Remote/hybrid model. 100% In-state travel.

Compensation

$60,000 - $65,000
