About the role
Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking a highly motivated and dependable intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) needs assessor in the Montpelier, Barre, Berlin region in Vermont.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Supports Intensity Scale – Adult Version™ (SIS-A) 2nd edition assessments (and Vermont Supplemental Questions) with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Participate in AAIDD Training and pass an IRQR following training and annually thereafter to be recognized by AAIDD as a SIS Assessor and to conduct assessments independently.
- Work in a hybrid model, conducting assessments at various locations including the individual's home, CSB/BHA offices, Day Support Programs, licensed residential providers' locations, or virtually.
- Work full-time, including regular working hours, early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Sociology.
- At least one year’s experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Experience conducting individual assessments with knowledge of behavior rating or psychological testing principles.
- Knowledge and experience with person-centeredness.
- Prior experience conducting the Supports Intensity Scale assessment is preferred.
- Experience with Home and Community Based Services waivers preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, behavioral support, and Virginia waiver programs strongly desired.
- Strong clinical/social assessment and critical thinking skills required.
Other Requirements
- Must have broadband internet connection at home (no dial-up) to conduct virtual assessments.
- Willing to travel and have an active, unrestricted license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance.
- Must have a dedicated home workspace committed to confidentiality of PHI.
- Must be comfortable and familiar with technology including the use of virtual meeting technology (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
Compensation
$60,000 - $65,000
