About the role
Provides general oversight of the Supported Employment Program to ensure that objectives are met. Ensures that the Supported Employment Specialists effectively carry out all phases of employment services including Intake, Engagement, Assessment, Job placement, Job coaching, and Follow-along supports.
Responsibilities
- Manage no more than ten supported employment specialists.
- Conduct weekly supported employment supervision meetings and attend clinical treatment team(s) as needed.
- Communicate with mental health treatment team leaders to ensure integrated services, problem-solve programmatic issues, and champion the value of work.
- Review current client outcomes with employment specialists and set goals to improve program performance at least quarterly.
- Accompany employment specialists who are new or having difficulty with job development into the field monthly to improve skills through observation, modeling, and feedback.
- Document services in accordance with Communicare, DMH, and Medicaid regulations.
- Submit requested reports in a timely manner.
- Attend and complete required orientations, staff development activities, and trainings as mandated by Communicare, the Department of Mental Health, or other oversight agencies.
- Screen each referral to ensure timely response and follow-through.
- Conduct outreach activities with agency staff and area employers.
- Work under the supervision/monitoring of the Clinical Director or other designated supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to working with individuals with serious mental illness; relevant work/school experience preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain any certification required by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) throughout employment.
- Must be CPI certified or able to complete CPI training and any other training required by DMH and Communicare.
- Ability to perform the responsibilities of the job as listed above.
- Ability to relate positively to individuals served through the Supported Employment Program.
- Pass a background check.
- Must have transportation or access to transportation.
- Maintain a current valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and an insurable driving record throughout employment.
Pay
$16.34 hourly wage.
