Support Worker - x2 08/Irvine/CA

About the role

A Personal Assistant is required to support a man with Dementia who lives with his wife. He is very sociable but needs assistance to get out and about. He used to be a keen golfer but can no longer play.

Responsibilities

• Going out for a coffee
• Companionship
• General assistance with everyday things
• Tips out in the local community
• Daily showering and assistance with dressing

Requirements

• Flexibility regarding hours of work
• Willingness to cover holidays / sickness for other members of staff

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting adults is beneficial but not a requirement for this post
• Moving and assisting training will be provided as the man uses a wheelchair on occasion while out and about

Pay

£15.00 per hour

Schedule

Hours will be discussed at interview stage and flexibility is required to suit the needs of the employer.
