About the role
The Support Worker will provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, medication management, meal preparation, and promoting independence through various activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Manage medications according to prescribed schedules and guidelines
- Prepare and serve meals to residents
- Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote engagement and well-being
- Monitor residents' health and report any concerns to supervisors
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of living areas
Requirements
- Valid Garda Vetting Certificate
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of disability services and support needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a relevant training program in disability support services (preferred)

Salary range: €18,000 - €22,000 per annum
