SUPPORT SERVICES WORKER

Responsibilities

  • Maintain facility cleanliness and safety.
  • Track client movement in and out of the facility.
  • Support clerical and data entry tasks.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality.
  • Participate in staff meetings and required training sessions.
  • Actively participate in medication management.
  • Conduct monitoring and vitals checks.
  • Answer phone calls and client questions.
  • Inventory belongings for intakes.
  • Initiate calendar appointments for clients.
  • Transport clients, medication, and other destinations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in data entry and general clerical work.
  • Experience with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Familiarity with AA/NA Twelve-Step programs preferred.
  • Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or enrollment in an approved training program (CAARR or equivalent) preferred.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including data entry and typing skills (minimum 45 WPM).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, professional, and supportive approach with clients.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Flexible schedule required, including availability for weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform intermittent physical activities including stretching, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a TB test in compliance with Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs requirements.
