About the role

We’re looking for kind, calm and dedicated Children & Young Person’s Support Workers to join our Care Expert Team across Mid & West Cornwall.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting children and young people with complex or additional needs
  • Helping with personal care, daily routines and mealtimes
  • Social activities
  • Attending community outings
  • Supporting communication, confidence and independence
  • Following care plans and keeping clear records
  • Working closely with families and the wider care team
  • Providing calm, consistent and person-centred support

Requirements

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and access to a reliable car
  • You must be a UK resident

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people in care, education, health or support settings
  • Confidence supporting with personal care

Pay

£13.46 - £13.66 per hour

Schedule

Mainly involves evening and weekend support, with some school hours also available. During school holidays and half terms, children and young people are often at home more, so support hours may increase.
