Responsibilities
- Ensure clients report to their respective groups on time.
- Serve as a supervisor and guide clients in performing their job assignments.
- Regularly check on clients to confirm they are completing their assigned tasks.
- Complete necessary documentation such as observation logs, maintenance reports, incident/information reports, urinalysis reports, and others as assigned.
- Prepare discharge forms for clients who are discharging and forward the discharge information to relevant parties.
- Conduct routine urinalysis drug tests, skin checks, no-contact personal searches, eye checks, and searches of clients and their belongings.
- Attend shift change meetings and stay updated on activities on your shift, including new clients, discharges, illnesses, emergencies, etc.
- Review all communications to the Support Technicians and communicate accordingly.
- Stay informed about policies and procedures and chart on at least three clients per shift.
- Tour the facility frequently to ensure a clean, safe environment and report any issues to the Chief Support Technician.
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish).
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR / First Aid Training certification within 30 days of hire.
- Registration or certification with CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP.
- No prior experience necessary.
- Willingness to undergo random drug screenings.
Special Conditions
- Frequent ascending and descending of stairs.
- Frequent standing and/or sitting for 6-8 hours.
- Frequent bending below the waist and/or above the shoulders.
- Constant lifting and/or moving of objects up to 25 lbs.
- Constant pushing and/or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent operation of motor vehicles.
- Occasional travel across Los Angeles County.
