Support Staff - Family Shelter

About the role

Families in Transition is seeking a Support Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be excited about working with the most vulnerable members of our community.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, clean, and non-threatening environment for persons experiencing homelessness.
• Offer input on policies and programs to assist with continuous improvement in Shelter offerings and operations.
• Support effective daily operations of the Shelter by documenting safety, security, participant behaviors, medical concerns, and other issues.
• Maintain awareness to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Monitor and request supplies as necessary.
• Communicate with participants and engage them in various activities.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred.

Pay

• Base Pay: $18/hour
• Shift Differential for Second Shift: $19/hour

Schedule

• Available shift: 2nd shift (Tuesday-Saturday) 3:45pm-12:15am
