Regular position based in a retail office environment.
About the role
Customer Service Support Specialist answers the telephone switchboard, greets customers in a retail setting, and provides administrative support to the regional office team for both internal and external customers, including prospective customers.
Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Handles incoming faxes, reporting, and member correspondences.
- Maintains databases and inventory of supplies and marketing materials.
- Ensures orderly upkeep of retail store, supply closet, and hospitality area.
- Customer Service:
- Assists customers with basic inquiries, including processing payments and directing calls.
- Logs service inquiries and documents relevant contact information.
- Schedules sales and service appointments for retail team members.
- Conducts initial research on service inquiries and forwards them for appropriate handling.
- Makes deliveries to postal services; requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensures the security and confidentiality of records to prevent harm, embarrassment, inconvenience, or unfairness to individuals.
- Adheres to segregation of duties guidelines to prevent or detect errors or irregularities.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience dealing with customers via telephone and in-person.
Skills
- Experience performing supportive functions in a customer-oriented environment.
- Proficient in general computer operations with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
