Customer Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers in an accurate, courteous, and customer‑focused manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries through voice, email, and other communication channels as needed.
• Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of Border Bank products, services, procedures, and general information to assist customers effectively.
• Work to resolve customer requests or concerns at the first point of contact whenever possible.
• Take ownership of customer interactions and follow through to a positive resolution.
• Use sound judgment, problem‑solving skills, and available resources to address customer needs.
• Protect the security and confidentiality of bank, customer, and employee information by following established verification standards.
• Navigate multiple systems, screens, and tools while assisting customers.
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including possible evenings and weekends.
• Represent Border Bank positively in customer, employee, and community interactions.
• Support other bank activities as needed as part of the broader team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or banking experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain composed and adaptable in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
• Comfortable using multiple computer systems and tools.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, with rotating Saturday shifts from 8:00 am to noon. Saturday shifts are paid at double time.
