About the role
The Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring effective follow-up and collections for clients. They provide support to Accounts Receivable Representatives and assist in maintaining and respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
Responsibilities
- Retrieves medical records through various systems.
- Sends medical records through hardcopy submission.
- Opens and scans correspondence received, routes to leadership for distribution.
- Responds to emails and telephone messages as appropriate.
- Communicates issues to management, including addressing system or escalated account issues.
- Attends and participates in meetings as requested.
- Supports client/internal processes.
- Maintains and respects the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with insurance collection guidelines and corporate policy and procedure.
- Supports SAVISTA Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other laws applicable to SAVISTA business practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
- No travel required.

- Operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals printers, and telephones.

Pay
The salary range for this role is from $15.00 to $17.50 per hour. Specific compensation varies based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills.
