Support Services Technician Hospitality Trainer

About the role

Team members working in this role will need to display the flexibility to work in two or more work locations and in two or more department roles as assigned by leadership. Department roles included in this job description are Environmental Services Tech, Nutrition Services Tech, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain Material Coordinator and Receptionist. Position to be defined by the department as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member helping others to contribute to the overall success of Corewell Health.
• Communicate effectively with all hospital staff, visitors, patients/residents to ensure the highest level of customer service and care for our patients/residents, including greeting and assisting in hospital navigation.
• Create a positive impact on the patient's experience by providing a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment.
• Complete special projects as assigned, with specific direction.
• Provide training and ongoing instruction to new and existing Support Services staff.
• Act as team lead during uplines absence and report work-related issues to upline.
• Assign, coordinate, inspect employee work assignments, and complete quality assurance inspections.
• Ensure services are provided in accordance with state and federal regulations, accreditation and compliance requirements, and organizational policy.
• Navigate between campus locations to support needed operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of relevant experience
• Preferred 1 year of relevant experience
• Customer service and/or other related experience
• Preferred 6 months of relevant experience
• Leadership Experience
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Patient Transport 90 Days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Patient Transport 90 Days
• CRT-Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) - AHE Association for the Healthcare Environment Environmental Services 1 Year
• CRT-ServSafe Manager - NRA National Restaurant Association Nutrition Services 90 Days
• CRT-ServSafe Allergen - NRA National Restaurant Association Nutrition Services 90 Days
• CRT-ServSafe Handler - NRA National Restaurant Association Nutrition Services 90 Days

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
