About the role

As a Support Services Technician with Corewell Health, you will work in multiple locations and departments including Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. Communication and collaboration with other team members are essential to ensure continuity of service and foster a positive work environment. This role is part of the patient care team and creates a positive impact on the patient's experience by providing a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Refer to the job description of the specific role being performed, including using the associated technology.
  • Communicate effectively with all hospital staff, visitors, patients, and residents to ensure high-level customer service and care.
  • Greet, communicate with, and assist visitors, staff, and patients in navigating the hospital.
  • Complete special projects as assigned, with specific direction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in customer service or a related field.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA (American Heart Association) or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC (American Red Cross) for Patient Transport (within 90 days).
  • CRT-Accredited Food Handler – ANSI National Accreditation Board (within 90 days).
  • CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate – ANSI National Accreditation Board (within 90 days).
  • CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP – ANSI National Accreditation Board (within 90 days).

  • Shift: Day (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
  • Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40
  • Days Worked: Variable
  • Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend
