Duties
- Assist the Support Services Team in providing various Emergency Support services to the general public.
- General Office Duties include Answering incoming telephone calls and maintaining an accurate log of all calls received using Google Sheets.
- Updating the Support Services phone greeting and recorded messages to communicate office closures, program availability, funding status, and other important client information.
- Managing the daily operation of the SAHelp application portal, including opening and closing applications based on funding availability, assisting clients with the application process, and communicating program availability to the public.
- Greeting and assisting scheduled and walk-in clients, assessing their needs, and coordinating with Case Managers to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for client questions regarding the status of their applications and working closely with Case Managers to provide accurate information and guidance.
- Referring clients to appropriate Salvation Army programs and community resources based on individual needs.
- Maintaining complete, accurate, and confidential client records and documentation.
- Preparing monthly statistical and program reports for the Support Services Office.
- Keeping the Copy Room organized and ordering supplies through the Procurement & Property Office Assistant as needed.
- General Duties for Networking include Becoming familiar with services in the community, keeping up-to-date information, and Networking with other service agencies as needed.
- General Duties for Christmas Assistance include Assisting with Christmas registration (Oct-Dec), Assisting with Application Approvals in SAHelp, Handling client phone calls and requests regarding distribution, Participating in distribution, and Assisting with Angel Tree, Adopt-a-Family, Sheetz for Kids as directed by Support Services Manager.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pleasant attitude in working with the public.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel).
- Experience in networking with others.
- Able to multi-task and meet hard deadlines.
- Able to work in a team environment.
