Job Summary
The Farm Animal Specialist oversees the Community Development program that provides direct and indirect support to church partners in the field that are involved in Bible translation. This role requires leadership oversight and coordination in relation to Community Development projects, planning and enhancing the program in accordance with the Field Services Tactical Plan, and providing assistance and consultation for various projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Leadership oversight and coordination in relation to Community Development projects
- Closely work with the Director of Support Services and the VP of Field Services
- Provide assistance and consultation for community development projects
- Manage and promote the Community Development program
- Undertake an annual SWOT analysis of the Community Development Program
- Document and communicate community development needs and outcomes
- Develop and refine the Community Development program
- Provide professional updates to WA staff
- Work with regional directors and WA regional teams
Qualifications
- B.A or B.S degree or equivalent job experience
- 3 years’ management experience (preferably in ministry)
- High level of administrative and management skills
- Competent in CRM systems
- Advanced communication skills—both verbal and written
- Service oriented
- Demonstrated record of being a team leader
- Ability to work with technical people
- Establish effective working relationships with staff and partners
- Communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Familiar with Wycliffe Associates and other partner organizations
- Able to travel both domestically and internationally
- Personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- International field experience working in remote areas with marginalized people
- Computer literate, possessing a working knowledge of administration and data processing programs, as well as a strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Familiar with Wycliffe Associates and other partner organizations
- Establish effective, collaborative working relationships with staff and partners
- Follow accounting practices established by the WA Finance Department
- Available to attend, participate, or lead chapel services
