Support Merchandiser

American Greetings is a global leader in the Celebrations marketplace. As a Support Merchandiser you will help people celebrate holidays, each other, and life’s special moments by displaying and maintaining inventory of greeting cards, gift‑wrap accessories, party goods, plush items, and more across various retail locations.

Pay

• Starting pay: $11.70 per hour (subject to change based on work location).
• After 6 months: $12.40 per hour.
• After 1 year: $13.00 per hour.

Schedule

This route services retail locations at 2003 S Dumas Ave, Dumas, TX 79029; 1420 Guyalane Plz; and 436 E 1St St. The average weekly hours are 7, increasing to about 12 hours per week around holidays. Availability is needed for multiple consecutive days, extended hours during major holidays, and occasional weekend work the day before and after holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). Ideal candidates are available during daytime hours, especially Monday mornings.

Responsibilities

• Service assigned stores, merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display products within greeting‑card departments and other retail areas.
• Maintain organized back‑room areas and perform other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate questions or concerns about service or schedules to management.
• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment using effective time‑management and organizational skills.
• Partner with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours.
• Provide additional support during major holidays, including extended days and hours.
• Assist with store resets, minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company‑issued tablet.
• Work independently and collaboratively with the team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Access to reliable internet for receiving critical job information and updates.
• Technological competency – able to learn and use a company‑provided tablet for training and daily tasks.
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and days surrounding major holidays.

Physical Demands

• Work on sales floor and back‑stock room, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 40 pounds.
• Stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday; a stepstool may be used for some tasks.
