About the Role
Reporting to the Department Supervisor, the Production Layout personnel will build flanges using lumber boards according to specifications, ensuring a quality product is sent to the next step.
Responsibilities
- Layout a pattern of lumber boards ranging from 1" thick and from 24" to 42" in length in one direction, then stack a second layer in the opposite direction.
- Staple the lumber boards (flanges) with a nail gun in a circular motion.
- Flip the flange over to a lift table.
- Repeat the process to create a stack of 15 flanges, then start a new stack. This process is repeated for the entire shift.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Prior use of a nail gun is helpful but not essential.
- Ability to lift 25–75 lbs.
- Capable of heavy lifting, twisting, constant use of hands, arms, and legs, stacking heavy lumber boards, and flipping completed flanges.
Schedule
- One position on 1st shift.
- Two positions on 2nd shift.
