Key job responsibilities
- Prepare a set of devices for a leadership review within an hour
- Maintain and move hardware between offices in Seattle and Bellevue
- Flash builds and configure apps across various platforms (Linux, macOS, Windows, mobile/embedded)
- Provide troubleshooting for any issues that arise
- Extend the team’s internal tools and automation
- Provide light cloud, server, and local network support
- Manage device inventory, ordering, and shipping
- Write clear setup guides for less technical teammates
- Replace manual steps with reusable workflows
About the team
The Devices & Services Experience Design (DxD) team leads user experience and industrial design innovation across Amazon's device portfolio, including Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, Alexa.com, and related mobile apps.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
- Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
