Support C3 VB (Day Shift)

Responsibilities

• Sets up production line with necessary supplies, equipment, or tools.
• Performs assigned tasks to assist in a designated production area.
• Participates as a team member in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members.
• Attends team meetings and fosters strong cohesiveness on major issues (e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes).
• Identifies and addresses areas lacking cohesiveness, bringing them to the team leader’s attention and working toward resolution.
• Actively reinforces actions needed to achieve synergy within the larger organization.
• Familiar with Simmons’ operating systems (e.g., quality, security, company policies) and understands the role in supporting these systems.
• Communicates concerns and improvement ideas related to operating systems.
• Performs additional duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Physical Activities

• Frequent lifting and carrying of tubs of product (up to 70 lbs) to be dumped into totes.
• Standing for the entire shift.
• Pulling loaded pallets with a jack for up to 25% of the shift.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Standard waterproof gloves and hearing protection.
• May be required to wear steel-toe footwear.

Industry Experience

Preference for candidates with experience in poultry or food processing organizations. Military experience is valued and veterans are encouraged to apply.
