Support 1, Operations Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the Manufacturing Manager in implementing Lean transformation and continuous improvement.
• Led Gemba walks, kaizens, supporting employees on continuous improvement, standard work, flow, takt time attainment, and problem-solving abnormalities causing tasks to make mistakes.
• Support development and improvement of Assembly visual work aids.
• Conduct cycle time analyses, time studies, line balance improvements and workplace improvements.
• Support lean disciplines and 5-S to internal processes.
• Support on-site audits.
• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction projects at the site.
• Appreciation and awareness for Manufacturing demand and prioritization.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or other related fields of study.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Related project work or previous internship a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments.
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Appreciation and awareness for Manufacturing demand and prioritization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement-based tools and techniques a plus.
