SupplySight Sales and Service Representative - Spokane, WA
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated professional for a hybrid role that combines consultative industrial sales with onsite SupplySight service and vendor managed inventory program support.
Key Split Responsibilities
Outside Sales Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and key stakeholders within assigned accounts.
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities within existing customers including competitive conversions, new applications, and expanded product categories.
- Sell consultative solutions across core industrial categories including adhesives, tapes, abrasives, safety products, labels, and MRO supplies.
- Execute account growth strategies focused on wallet share expansion and program adoption.
- Prepare and deliver product recommendations, technical solutions, and commercial proposals.
- Manage opportunity pipeline activity within CRM to ensure visibility, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined opportunity follow up.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales Support, Supply Chain, Customer Care, and Vendor Specialists to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Partner with strategic vendors to introduce new technologies and product innovations that improve customer productivity and reduce total cost.
- Conduct regular business reviews with assigned accounts to identify growth opportunities and reinforce value delivered through R.S. Hughes programs.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies within core product categories.
- Meet or exceed established revenue and gross profit growth expectations for assigned accounts.
SupplySight Program Service Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service on site SupplySight inventory programs to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability for customer operations.
- Identify opportunities to expand product assortment, increase SKU adoption, and introduce new product categories within the SupplySight program.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular replenishment, cycle counts, and inventory analysis.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances and implement corrective actions to improve program accuracy.
- Monitor inventory consumption trends and supply chain timing to proactively identify potential inventory gaps.
- Maintain accurate reporting and dashboards that track inventory levels, usage trends, and replenishment timing.
- Ensure all inventory is stored and maintained in accordance with company policies related to labeling, storage, packaging, and handling requirements.
- Support installation, maintenance, and optimization of SupplySight program equipment at customer facilities.
- Participate in customer business reviews and provide program performance insights that support program expansion and long-term growth.
- Operate a company vehicle while servicing inventory programs and delivering replenishment materials.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while servicing customer facilities.
Qualifications
Two to five years of experience in industrial sales, supply chain operations, vendor managed inventory programs, or related customer facing roles.
Experience selling or supporting industrial product categories such as adhesives, tapes, abrasives, safety products, tooling, or MRO supplies preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and grow customer accounts.
Experience with vendor managed inventory programs or industrial supply chain environments preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to balance commercial responsibilities with operational execution.
Proficiency with CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.
Valid driver license with ability to travel locally to customer sites.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
This position operates primarily in customer facilities and industrial environments with regular field travel.
Regular standing, walking, and movement within manufacturing or warehouse environments.
Occasional lifting of materials or inventory up to 30 pounds.
Use of a company vehicle to travel between customer locations.
Education and Licensing
High School Diploma required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Target first year Compensation range for this Exempt role is ~$52-62k + commission DOE.
