Key Responsibilities
- Support the unit Material Control division while the Government retains overall responsibility and management of Material Control, OPTAR, and AFM funding functions.
- Research, order, receive, track, and document parts and materials needed to support ALQ-99 TJS WRA/SRA maintenance, repair, testing, and ready-for-issue production.
- Expedite repairable and consumable material requisitions through the supply system and keep Maintenance Control, the Site Supervisor, and maintenance technicians informed of status changes.
- Maintain pack-up and pre-expended bin inventories, including inventory accuracy, location tracking, usage tracking, replenishment support, and discrepancy resolution.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians, Government supply representatives, Maintenance Control, and other designated points of contact to resolve material availability, substitution, documentation, receipt, issue, turn-in, or status problems.
- Use applicable supply/logistics systems, records, forms, and documentation methods as directed by FRCNW/COR and local procedures.
- Support Technical Directive compliance, Support Equipment PMS, maintenance documentation, and production schedules by helping ensure required parts and materials are identified, ordered, received, and tracked.
- Comply with tool control, HAZMAT, safety, records management, security, PII/CUI, and local base/work-center requirements.
- Interface with, but not manage, Government-operated Tool Room or HAZMAT programs when supply actions require coordination with those functions.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- U.S. citizenship; ability to maintain Secret eligibility, obtain/maintain CAC, and meet NAS Whidbey Island base access requirements.
- Supply, logistics, inventory control, material control, warehouse, aviation supply, technical supply management, parts expediting, or comparable experience.
- Ability to research, order, receive, track, expedite, document, and follow up on repairable and consumable material requisitions.
- Ability to work with maintenance personnel and supply channels to communicate material status, resolve discrepancies, and support production priorities.
- Ability to follow established supply policies, local procedures, safety requirements, documentation standards, and Government work-center processes.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn/use Government-directed supply, maintenance, or reporting systems.
- Ability to work day shift and support schedule changes or occasional weekend/holiday work if operationally required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Navy aviation supply, NAVSUP, MILSTRIP, NALCOMIS/OOMA/OIMA, AMPS, pack-up/pre-expended bin, depot/I-Level maintenance support, avionics, electronic warfare, or ALQ-99 support experience.
- Experience supporting Government or DoD material control functions in a production, maintenance, or depot environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance control, technical directive support, repairable tracking, consumable replenishment, requisition status codes, and records retention.
