Supply Technician

About the role

SAIC is seeking a Supply Technician for a customer site in North Charleston, SC. The role provides expertise and supervisory oversight of the LMADIS Materials Management team.

Responsibilities

• Provide material purchase status reports to management
• Work with the Purchasing Team to execute common buys across programs and build long-term agreements with key suppliers
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to identify and qualify new suppliers
• Coordinate with managers to determine material needs
• Work with Program Managers, Engineers, and Program Logisticians to furnish complete Build of Materials (BOMs) to Purchasing for RFQ and procurement requirements
• Resolve program shortages by reviewing and analyzing all back-orders
• Conduct periodic calls to vendors to ensure promised delivery dates are kept
• Collect merchandise from Shipping and Receiving and safely transport materials to the receiving area
• Receive and document merchandise for delivery or return
• Maintain an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
• Identify missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify Management
• Ensure all merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled
• Supervise all material through computer input
• Assist with training newly employed workers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and five (5) years of experience
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills to meet unexpected program updates and requirements
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• CMPRO experience
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance
