About the role
Amentum is immediately hiring a qualified F/A-18 O-level Supply Technician in support of U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA.
Responsibilities
- Account/inventory, receive, store and distribute all assigned MetCal equipment related to organizational level maintenance.
- Work independently in the performance of complex and varied duties.
- Verify materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
- Work within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines.
- Contact representatives of commercial firms to obtain information on new items of supply or representatives of government agencies regarding the utilization of property.

- Work in a shop environment, aircraft hangars and flight line with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, disagreeable fumes, and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts, sweepers, tow tractors, and aircraft.
- Frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Three (3) years of Naval Aviation material and Supply System experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Naval supply system procurement, inventory, tracking, and reporting requirement.
- Four years’ experience as a logistic specialist as an Aviation Supply Technician.
- Successfully completed Support Equipment (SE) Asset Manager Certification Course (D-555-0026) and possess NEC 9590.
- Knowledge of the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) and the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL).
- Knowledge of governing supply systems/programs, policies, and procedures.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Secret Clearance Required.
Qualifications
- Prior F/A-18 O-Level Experience Highly Preferred.
- Tool Control Coordinator experienced preferred.
- Experience is desired in the following systems: METCAL, IMRL, LAMS, OOMA, NALCOMIS, FEDLOG.
Skills
Essential skills include: ability to lift up to 50 pounds, safety awareness, adherence to supply regulations, communication, planning/organizing, and working under deadlines.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $32.77 per hour. Plus $7.80 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, for Health & Welfare.
