This role translates demand forecasts into capacity-constrained supply plans, performs rough-cut capacity planning, identifies supply risks and opportunities, and supports executive decision-making through scenario analysis and supply planning insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain rolling supply plans that support the monthly IBP/SIOP process and planning horizon.

  • Translate demand forecasts into feasible, capacity-constrained supply plans across a network of contract manufacturing partners.

  • Lead rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) activities to evaluate manufacturing capabilities and identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.

  • Evaluate inventory, capacity, and service tradeoffs to support business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Monitor supply-demand imbalances and develop recommendations to address potential shortfalls or excess capacity.

  • Support annual operating plans, budget cycles, and long-range planning activities.

  • Perform scenario planning and business insights, including scenario modeling and what-if analyses to support strategic business decisions, product launches, demand fluctuations, and supply disruptions.

  • Ensure planning assumptions, master data, and reporting structures remain accurate and aligned with business requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes, data quality, and reporting capabilities.

  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, serving as a critical link between Commercial, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Quality, and external manufacturing partners, driving alignment through the Integrated Business Planning process.

  • Demand Planning & Commercial Teams: Partner with Demand Planning to understand forecast assumptions, demand changes, product launches, and business priorities. Evaluate the supply and capacity implications of demand changes and provide recommendations to support consensus planning. • Contract Manufacturing Partners & Operations: Collaborate with contract manufacturers to understand production capacity, lead times, operational constraints, and long-term capability plans. Facilitate discussions regarding capacity availability, inventory strategies, and supply risk mitigation. Ensure supply plans are aligned with manufacturing capabilities across the external network.

  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Partner with Procurement to evaluate supplier constraints, material availability, and sourcing risks that may impact supply plans. Incorporate material availability assumptions into supply planning and capacity assessments. Support supplier and contract manufacturer performance reviews through planning insights and analytics.

  • Finance: Collaborate with Finance to align supply plans with financial objectives, inventory targets, and annual operating plans. Provide supply planning assumptions and scenario analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Assess the financial implications of inventory, capacity, and supply chain decisions.

  • Quality & Regulatory Affairs: Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure supply plans reflect product lifecycle requirements, validation activities, regulatory changes, and compliance considerations. Support planning decisions within FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, or other highly regulated environments.

  • Executive Leadership: Present supply plans, capacity assessments, key risks, and scenario analyses during Supply Review and Executive IBP/SIOP meetings. Provide data-driven recommendations that support informed decision-making regarding service, inventory, capacity, and financial performance.
