PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads, coordinates, and presents weekly Vehicle Planning meetings to deliver consolidated analysis of sales trends, market intelligence, trim-level performance, port inventory, and projected demand fulfillment.
- This research would lead to actionable recommendations for best management of resources (ie. Global Tracking Number (GTN) - Vehicle: Port Swaps, Port Changes, Purchase Order and allocation insights).
- Supports the monthly allocation planning process for all US production, consisting of ~350,000+ import vehicles and ~300,000+ units of domestic production into forward-looking supply strategies across seven US Ports and Subaru of Indiana, SIA, production by preparing and presenting pre-supply review analyses of sales performance, market demand, production data, inventory, port capacity, and purchase order fulfillment to identify risks and imbalances and propose recommendations.
- Gathers and synthesizes demand intelligence from sources including Oracle Business Intelligence, MarketView, and S&P Global to form coordinated demand views of market opportunities, risks, and imbalances to support ongoing adaptations of future supply to meet demand.
- Performs purchase order consumption and shipping analysis to ensure receipt of matching vehicle model mix and quantities from foreign and domestic production for approximately $24B in annual vehicle inventory.
- PARTNERS WITH SBR TO REQUEST AND TRACK SHIPPING ADJUSTMENTS VIA GLOBAL TRACKING NUMBERS (GTN), TO REBALANCE SUPPLY AND SUPPORT HIGH-Demand MARKETS.
- ACTS AS THE PRIMARY ANALYTICAL PARTNER TO VEHICLE PLANNING AND FLEET OPERATIONS TO REVIEW SUPPLY AND PRODUCTION PLANS FOR THE ORDER CREATION AND FULFILLMENT OF $500M+ IN ANNUAL RENTAL FLEET VOLUME.
- RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SELECTION, ORDER CREATION AND ORDER FULFILLMENT OF $500M+ IN ANNUAL RENTAL FLEET VOLUME, ENSUREING ALIGNMENT WITH WHOLESALE OBJECTIVES, PROFITABILITY, AND INVENTORY FLOW.
- TRACKS ALLOCATION PLAN CHANGES OVER TIME AND ANALYZES DRIVERS OF VARIANCE BETWEEN PLANNED AND ACTUAL SUPPLY TO SUPPORT CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- SUPPORTS DOCUMENTATION OF ALLOCATION PLANNING ASSUMPTIONS, TIMELINES, AND STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES.
- AIDES WITH DEVELOPMENT AND ENHANCEMENT OF PLANNING REPORTS, DASHBOARDS, AND DATA VISUALIZATIONS.
- PARTICIPATES IN CROSS FUNCTIONAL MEETINGS RELATED TO PRODUCTION PLANNING, LOGISTICS CONSTRAINTS, AND SUPPLY RISK MITIGATION.
- PROVIDES ANALYTICAL SUPPORT FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS RELATED TO DISTRIBUTION PLANNING AND SUPPLY OPTIMIZATION.
- PROVIDES AD HOC REPORTS UPON REQUEST.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret production and supply data and identify meaningful trends.
- Preferred Ability to research, organize, reconcile, and validate data from multiple sources with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Preferred Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex analyses for cross-functional audiences.
- Preferred Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver time-sensitive analyses in a recurring planning cadence.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data visualization, and data calculation automation including Power Query.
- Exposure to enterprise reporting systems including Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) and QlikView preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required and 4 to 6 years of progressive experience required.
COMPENSATION
- The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000 - $85,000/year.
- Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
- This role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance.
