About the role
The Supply Planning Analyst A is responsible for planning, purchasing, and scheduling activities to ensure on-time delivery performance levels for assigned product lines. They assist in establishing the Corporate Sales & Operations Plan and execute the plan. They communicate requirements to customers and suppliers, monitor performance against targets, and work with suppliers to achieve short lead times, high inventory turns, and high customer fulfillment rates. They also develop and implement improvement action plans as needed.
Responsibilities
- Meet customer KPIs for customer fulfillment and inventory metrics through participation in the S&OP process.
- Align stocking strategies based on forecast accuracy, production capacity, and supplier performance.
- Review MRP on assigned product lines to optimize inventory levels and resolve issues such as expediting products to meet customer expectations.
- Perform all planner/buyer tasks with supply base and maintain ongoing communications regarding PO placement, expedites, product quality (MRN's), CPAR's, ECO's, lead time reductions, costing discrepancies, and vendor performance.
Requirements
- Possesses a degree in business or related field, with an Operations Management or Supply Chain concentration preferred.
- Has a minimum of four years experience in Supply Chain as a Planner, Buyer, or Production Scheduler.
- Minimum of four years experience in Material Requirements Planning Systems (SAP experience highly preferred).
- APICS certification preferred (CPIM/CIRM) and/or ISM/NAPM certification (CPM).
- Strong PC skills, creative problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Qualifications
