About the role

The Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for managing supply across the planning horizon and planning of finished goods. This role also involves managing exceptions on a real-time basis, focusing on customer service levels, and collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supply across the planning horizon and plan for finished goods
  • Assume responsibility for managing exceptions on a real-time basis
  • Play a key role in the development, institutionalization, and continuous improvement of S&OP work process
  • Optimize purchase order effectiveness by analyzing key inputs and outcomes
  • Develop solutions to complex and unusual problems requiring independent judgment and ingenuity
  • Focus on service levels in and out of Klein Tools to improve meeting customer expectations
  • Expedite supply where there is a gap in service level or perceived future service level
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to research, analyze route cause, and prepare plans to course correct
  • Coordinate and communicate action plans to leadership
  • Work with procurement team to monitor purchase order accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the demand to supply process, as measured by SIOP and demand planning metrics
  • Document process flow, failure points, and action plans
  • Work with IT for system enhancements by acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for purchase order, as required
  • Drive process, technology, and operational excellence
  • Act as the COE (Center of Excellence) for purchase order quality and gain additional responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Business Supply Chain, or related technical field
  • One to three years of experience in demand or supply planning
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of supply chain theory and processes, operational execution, operations needs, asset management, business and accounting principles
  • Demonstrated ability to intrapreneur within a corporate environment
  • Prior lead by influence experiences are beneficial

Physical Demands

Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers to touch, pick or pinch objects; reach with hands and arms; push or pull; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use foot or leg controls; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. For all jobs, no one should lift over 50lbs on their own. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
