As a Senior Procurement Buyer, you will manage and execute the organization's procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. This role ensures efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will oversee complex procurement projects, manage a team of procurement professionals, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives. You will report directly to our Senior Production Planning Manager and work out of our Rocky Mount, NC or South Bend, IN location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory performance and implement corrective actions, specifically Inventory Buffers.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management.
- Ensure Material Master data setting compliance through defined audit and maintenance process.
- Govern Weekly Site CTB Reporting and drive automation.
- Document Planning process standard work and facilitate training.
- Lead and support strategic actions and project initiatives to improve Planning performance.
- Initiate and execute Planning process enhancements including use of automation and AI.
Requirements
YOU MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of experience in inventory planning or supply chain management.
- ERP system knowledge and comprehension of data analytics tools (SAP, Maestro, PowerBI, and Tableau).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
