Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and coordinates the efficient movement of material by planning, setting up, and releasing work orders to provide continuous product flow and on-time delivery of customer orders.
• Determines material needs and availability of stock.
• Works closely with operations, purchasing, engineering, and quality departments to achieve production goals.
• Ensures that the required parts and materials are available to meet both customer and inventory needs.
• Rearranges schedules to meet changing requirements such as customer orders, manpower, or material shortages and plant load.
• Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in area of discipline.
• Competent in all job functions and has a general understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
• Develops solutions for a variety of situations and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis.
• Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion.
• Collaborates with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization.
• Typically 3+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
• May be required to maintain certification in a quality management method, e.g., Lean, Six Sigma.
• SAP or equivalent ERP experience preferred.
• Kinaxis or equivalent experience preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
• Position may require the ability to travel.
