About the role
This position is hybrid (3 days/week in office) and located in Charlotte, NC. The Bromine Supply Planner develops and maintains an integrated supply plan that balances demand, inventory, production capability, and business priorities across a complex, highly integrated manufacturing network spanning multiple production sites and external manufacturing partners. This role serves as a key link between Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Product Management, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated supply and production plans aligned to demand, inventory targets, production capability, and business priorities across a complex manufacturing network.
- Support the monthly S&OP process and near-term S&OE activities by identifying supply risks, constraints, opportunities, assumptions, and recommended actions to balance supply and demand.
- Develop and evaluate supply scenarios to support business decisions related to capacity, inventory, customer demand, network optimization, asset utilization, and supply risk mitigation.
- Partner with manufacturing and plant teams to understand capacity, operating constraints, maintenance activity, outages, yield impacts, and supply chain risks.
- Facilitate alignment across Manufacturing, Commercial, Product Management, Logistics, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders by presenting data-driven recommendations and driving timely decision-making.
- Analyze supply, inventory, production, and capacity data to identify trends, risks, trade-offs, and planning opportunities, while evaluating business impacts related to customer service, inventory investment, working capital, and operating costs.
- Communicate supply assumptions, risks, mitigation strategies, and recommendations clearly to both operational teams and senior leadership.
- Support planning master data governance and continuous improvement of planning processes, systems, analytics, reporting capabilities, and cross-functional workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in supply chain, production planning, manufacturing, operations, logistics, analytics, or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex operational constraints.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact with plant personnel and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and work with appropriate urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- A few years of experience in supply planning, inventory planning, production planning, S&OP, S&OE, or production scheduling.
- Experience conducting scenario analysis and developing recommendations to support strategic supply chain and business decisions.
- Understanding of the relationship between supply planning decisions and business performance metrics, including customer service, inventory, working capital, and cost.
- Experience in chemical, process manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or another complex manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting a highly integrated production network where changes in one area can impact multiple downstream processes or tolling partners.
- Ability to influence stakeholders who do not report to the role and communicate effectively from the plant floor to senior leadership.
- Experience with SAP, SAP IBP, or similar ERP/planning systems.
- Experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI, Think-Cell, or similar tools.
- Exposure to tolling, multi-site manufacturing operations, or integrated supply networks.
