About the role
We're seeking a detail-oriented Supply Planner to support day-to-day purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory planning across our product lines. This role is highly tactical and execution-focused—ideal for someone who thrives in the operational details, keeps suppliers accountable, and ensures materials and finished goods are available to meet production and customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Purchasing & Order Management:
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for packaging and finished goods
- Track open POs and follow up with suppliers to confirm ship dates, resolve delays, and expedite when needed
- Maintain accurate lead times, MOQs, and cost data to support planning and budgeting
- Reconcile discrepancies between POs, item receipts, and vendor invoices
- Support cost updates and item/vendor record maintenance
- Inventory & Supply Planning:
- Monitor inventory levels and consumption/sales to ensure adequate supply for production and customer demand
- Identify potential stockouts, delays, or excess inventory and recommend corrective actions
- Provide supply constraints and replenishment insights to support demand planning
- Prepare weekly supply status updates for internal teams
- Aid with cycle counts, adjustments, and root-cause analysis of variances
- Vendor Coordination:
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, packaging vendors, and co-manufacturers to confirm availability, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Track vendor performance metrics such as on-time delivery, scrap, and responsiveness
- Support onboarding of new suppliers by gathering documentation and validating data
- Escalate supply risks early and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues
- Logistics & Operations:
- Cook logistics and warehouse teams (delivery windows, packing lists, documentation)
- Support freight booking and communication with 3PLs as needed
- Help resolve receiving discrepancies, damaged goods claims, and inventory mismatches
- Provide supply-related inputs for production scheduling and co-manufacturer planning
- Systems & Tools:
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data in the ERP system
- Build or update basic reports and trackers to support visibility and planning
- NetSuite experience is a strong plus—especially with purchasing, inventory, and saved searches—but not required
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, or operations—ideally within CPG
- Strong understanding of component lead times, packaging complexity, and co-manufacturing workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort managing large volumes of data
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for planning and reporting
- Experience with 3PLs, freight partners, or co-manufacturers is a plus
- NetSuite experience is highly desirable but not a deal breaker
