About the role
We help customers keep their businesses moving by delivering reliable fuel supply solutions across North America. As our business continues to grow, we're seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Operations Analyst to support fuel supply strategy, supplier management, terminal operations, and logistics optimization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex supply chain challenges, working with data, collaborating across teams, and helping drive operational excellence within a fast-paced commodity environment.
Responsibilities
- Optimize Fuel Supply Operations
- Support the day-to-day management of fuel supply activities across a network of suppliers and terminals.
- Help ensure carriers can access fuel from the most cost-effective and operationally efficient supply locations.
- Monitor supply activity and help identify opportunities to improve supply flexibility and profitability.
- Support Supplier & Terminal Management
- Execute supplier, terminal, and loading number setups accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain supplier and terminal information within internal systems.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support contractual requirements and operational execution.
- Monitor Supply Performance
- Analyze supply, logistics, and market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in proactively managing supply disruptions, allocation issues, and operational challenges.
- Support troubleshooting efforts related to terminal loading, allocation constraints, and supplier performance.
- Drive Process Improvement
- Partner with Supply, Logistics, Operations, and Technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Help develop and implement solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and operational performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain and logistics functions.
- Collaborate Across the Business
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, terminal operators, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate operational insights and recommendations clearly to support decision-making.
- Provide reporting and analysis that helps optimize supply costs, service levels, and overall profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience in commodities, fuel supply, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience working within fuel, energy, commodities, logistics, or transportation industries.
- Experience with supplier management, terminal operations, or fuel logistics.
- Familiarity with DTN TABS, DTN Fuel Buyer, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
- Experience working with large datasets and operational reporting.
