Supply Management Specialist

About the role

This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, Mission Readiness Operations, located in Tucson AZ.

Responsibilities

• Providing direction to personnel who are assigned supply support duties in various operational units.
• Organizing, arranging, and removing stock in storage areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Initiating, developing, and administering supply programs in accordance with Federal Property Management regulations.
• Developing procedures and instructions for administering, documenting, updating, and reporting the organization's inventory.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

• Performing inventory and initiating actions to identify items.
• Determining material requirements and preparing estimates for budget and procurement purposes.
• Insuring the safe receipt, storage, and movement of hazardous and toxic materials.
• Preparing reports of supplies and equipment requirements to be presented to higher management.
