Supply Management Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a Supply Management Specialist to join a premier manufacturing client in Milan, IL. The position offers competitive pay and the opportunity to develop skills in supply chain management and procurement.
Responsibilities
- Providing entry-level sourcing and supply management support, including executing and enforcing strategies and contracts for commodities of lower value and complexity.
- Aiding with cost models, make vs. buy studies, spend analysis, invoice issue resolution, and other data analyses.
- Collaborating with Strategic Sourcing to address supplier performance issues and validate suppliers during the selection process.
- Executing planning activities within a defined framework for the supply chain.
- Collecting and analyzing data using preset tools and methods; conducting complex analyses, quality tests, and inspections.
- Producing, updating, and providing best practice support on complex Microsoft documents, databases, and departmental systems.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory codes, obtaining authorization for exceptions as needed.
- Resolving complex queries from internal/external customers or suppliers, and supporting process improvements.
Requirements
- Post-secondary non-tertiary education.
- Basic experience (4 to 6 months) with simple office or operational systems.
- Computer savvy with strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong verbal communication, planning, and organizing abilities.
- Able to work independently, exercise discretion, and possess a customer-focused approach.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and departmental systems.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze alternatives, contribute to business cases, and perform gap analyses.
- Able to work the specified shift and do not require visa sponsorship now or in the near future.

Pay
$31.00 per hour (2-year CONTRACT)
Schedule
Shift: 8am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday
