Supply/Instrument Logistics Tech

Compensation: Salary range $24.75 – $29.54 per hour. Factors that may determine placement include specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience, and comparison to current employees in the role. New hires are most often placed below the midpoint of the range.

About the role

Coordinates and is responsible for facilitating and implementing the Surgical Case Cart process and systems. Monitors materials and inventory control for Perioperative Services, including acquisition, receiving, and distribution through the case cart process, perioperative automated clinical information/management system, and the material management automated information system. Serves as a liaison between Materials Management, Sterile Processing Department, and Perioperative Services. Assists with Perioperative Care Tech duties as needed. Ensures effective and efficient management of supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement the Surgical Case Cart process and systems.
• Monitor materials and inventory control for Perioperative Services.
• Manage materials acquisition, receiving, and distribution using the case cart process and automated systems.
• Serve as a liaison between Materials Management, Sterile Processing Department, and Perioperative Services.
• Assist with Perioperative Care Tech duties as needed.
• Ensure effective and efficient management of supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Two (2) years of related experience/training in a surgical setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from two-year college or technical school.
• Knowledge of supply chain/Lean management.
• Previous Scrub Tech/Case cart assembly experience.
• Medical terminology.
