About the role
The Supply Room Technician supports the supply room team by distributing tooling and materials, maintaining inventory accuracy through data entry, and keeping the supply room organized. This role also assists in covering for technicians on other shifts when needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory through cycle counts and manual adjustments.
- Organize drawers, shelves, and all storeroom locations.
- Keep work areas clean across all storage locations.
- Delegate workflow and tasks to the supply room team.
- Set up new maintenance technicians with company-issued tools.
- Enter employee time and material usage into SAP.
- Scan and document work orders from the maintenance department.
- Receive and inspect incoming parts, verifying quantity, item number, and identifying damaged or unmarked items.
- Box or crate parts for shipping or storage.
- Maintain the recycle program for light bulbs, batteries, oil, and e-waste.
- Change jack batteries for the plant.
- Create signs or stickers as required.
- Operate power equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, sky jacks).
- Pick up or deliver parts to vendors.
- Assist outside drivers with freight pickup/delivery.
- Attach proper ID labels to materials and scan packing slips for accounting.
- Assist vendors with sign-in and contact with the correct party.
- Rebuild sanitation hoses as needed.
- Assist maintenance technicians as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Frequent lifting and twisting throughout the workday. Must wear appropriate PPE and other required equipment.
Requirements
- Must pass the Maintenance Physical Abilities Evaluation.
- Able to stand, walk, and lift for up to eight hours per day.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills in a Windows environment (Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated mechanical skills for equipment repair.
