About the role

Under the direction of the Lead Manufacturing Team Supervisor, the Supply Crib Attendant manages the purchasing, inventory levels, distribution, records, and functionality of manufacturing supplies, tools, and equipment for production needs while maintaining HellermannTyton's certifications and supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and records of manufacturing supplies, tools, and equipment in the ERP system, Kanban system, Kamishibai system, storage locations, purchases, etc.
  • Order new manufacturing supplies, tools, or equipment as needed.
  • Receive, organize, and manage all tools and equipment.
  • Issue or distribute manufacturing supplies, tools, and equipment to employees daily.
  • Track the distribution of tools and equipment by recording withdrawals and returns to and from employees.
  • Locate missing or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Maintain tool and equipment functionality by performing frequent inspections for wear, defects, or damages and arranging for repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Assist with tool and equipment calibration and follow maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare and set up tooling and equipment for all jobs, such as water lines, sealing heads, and elements.
  • Maintain a secure, clean, safe, and well-organized Supply Crib.
  • Train other Supply Crib Attendants on all processes and procedures as needed.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, quality, and company procedures.
  • Make continuous improvements in Supply Crib operations.
  • Operate forklift or hand pallet jacks to transport items to and from work areas as needed.
  • Assist in setups, processing, or packaging as needed.
  • Provide first aid management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience or training; or experience in manufacturing (preferably in an injection molding environment).
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with forklift or hand pallet jacks preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with computers and ability to perform basic data entry.
  • Knowledge of basic tool operation and maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player.
  • Must be reliable and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to work overtime and on a rotating weekend basis to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours occasionally to meet customer needs.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours a day.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feet; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
