About the role

Behind every patient, procedure, and clinical team at UVA Health is a dedicated supply chain team making sure the right supplies are available when they are needed. As a Supply Control Inventory Coordinator, you will play an important role in keeping supplies moving efficiently throughout the Health System. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. No prior experience is required, making this a great opportunity to build valuable experience in healthcare supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process material and supply requests for storeroom customers.
  • Provide responsive and professional customer service to internal departments and team members.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming supplies for accuracy, discrepancies, and visible damage.
  • Process receiving transactions in the inventory system and confirm proper put-away of stock items.
  • Issue supplies upon receipt of an authorized requisition and verification of appropriate personnel.
  • Process shipping, credits, and other inventory-related transactions.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory and supply records.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform quality control checks and report discrepancies or damaged materials.
  • File, organize, and maintain required documentation.
  • Run inventory and operational reports and assist with analyzing data.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to support timely delivery of supplies.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • No prior experience required.
  • May require a valid Virginia Driver's License depending on assigned responsibilities.

Physical Demands

  • Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods.
  • Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20 lbs.
  • May be exposed to fumes, cold, and heat.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $15.00 - $25.22 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
